1. ICP Fellow Applications:

Applications are invited for fellowship of I.C.P. by nomination on prescribed forms. Up to ten fellowships are awarded each year and only senior members of I.A.P.M. of at least ten years standing are eligible to apply. The applicant should have contributed substantially to IAPM and to the subject of Pathology in general by way of teaching, research, publications etc. The nominations should be proposed and seconded by two fellows of ICP. The applications will be screened by the Credential committee, and Executive committee ICP. Application forms can be downloaded from home page of website. Duly completed form along with Demand Draft of Rs. 500/- in the name of Indian College of Pathologists payable at Chandigarh should be sent to the Secretary ICP and should reach the Secretary ICP before the last date for receiving the fellowship application which is 31st October 2020

Provisionally accepted fellows will have to pay a subscription of Rs.5000/- before being admitted as fellows of ICP.

2.The AIPNA offers an Observership award for visiting fellow(s) to observe novel methods, study new areas of interest not available at their home institute and/or pursue research, under guidance of AIPNA member, and return to home institute to implement methodologies and/or train other pathologists/laboratory personnel. It is highly encouraged that this endeavor results in an abstract and publication. Frequency: 1 fellow per year. Duration: 1-2 months, Amount granted: $2100 for 1 month and $1100 for an additional month (fellow is expected to pay additional costs out of pocket). For details see

3.Registration grant awards for residents to present posters at AIPNA ICP CME: The ICP shall reimburse registration amount up to 25 students on basis of poster merit. The poster should be submitted through the conference website of the ICP AIPNA CME every year. Registration awards will be announced in the second day of the conference to successful residents attending the conference and presenting the posters at the venue, and will be distributed at the valedictory function.

December 2019:  13th ICP Oration 2019The 13th ICP Oration 2019 was held on 1st December 2019 during the APCON 2019 Conference at PGIMER, Chandigarh. The Oration was held in the memory of memory of Prof.Dr.Thangavelu and was delivered by Prof.Dr. KP Aravindan Medical Director& Senior consultant Pathologist, MicroHealth Laboratories, Kozhikode and ex Professor & Head, Dept of Pathology, Govt Medical College,Calicut. The oration led the audience through an enthralling depiction of ….  and was thought provoking, stimulating at a perfect pace and timing.

Feb 2019 24th ICP AIPNA CME was held at AIIMS Bhopal in Feb 2019 Under the leadership of Prof Sarman Singh Director, AIIMS Bhopal and Prof Neelkamal Kapoor Head Of Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine All India Institute of Medical Sciences Bhopal organized a successful annual three day International CME from 1st to 3rd February 2019. ICP –AIPNA AIICME is a joint venture between Indian College of Pathologists (ICP) and Association of Indian Pathologists in North America (AIPNA). In this 3 day long academic feast, speakers of International and National repute enlightened the keen audience. The CME covered various pertinent clinically relevant topics and recent updates in Hematology, Gastrointestinal, Urogenital, Endocrine, Salivary gland, Bone and Soft tissue pathology through didactic talks, case based discussions/slide seminars. CME gathered around 300 pathologists from India and abroad with a total of 33 Oral Paper and 72 Podium Poster Presentations by young and budding pathologists. Dr Anita Borges, eminent Indian Surgical Pathologist was felicitated by members of ICP-APINA with Life Time Achievement Award 2018. Being one of its kinds International CME in central India, this conference brought not only new insight and knowledge to the subject, but also collaborations and friendships between Pathologists across the globe. It also created a buzz in the local media showcasing the work of pathologists. Unstinting support of office bearers of ICP and AIPNA and eminent pathologists like Prof NiragJhala, Prof Ashraf Khan, Prof BD Radotra, Prof D N Lanjewar, Prof Deepak K Mishra, Prof SiddharthDatta Gupta, Prof Vatsala Mishra, Dr Francisco Couto and many more was crucial to the success of the CME.



Dec 2020: 14th ICP AIPNA Oration:14th ICP oration will be held at APCON at Raipur, Chhattisgarh in December 2020 in the memory of Dr R K Gadgil and will be delivered by Dr Sudha Sane.


Feb 2021: 26th ICP AIPNA at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi. Organizing Secretary: Dr AjitNambiar,  AIPNA coordinator Dr Nirag C Jhala, ICP Coordinators Dr BishanRadotra and Dr Nuzhat Husain. Details to follow
